I love watching birds and had the opportunity to go to a Great Blue Heron rookery. The GBH is one of my favorite birds as it is beautiful and quirky with all its flowing plumage. I took lots of photos that day and this one melted my heart when the male brought a branch back to the nest for his lady. I added a lively background to make the painting more interesting and beautiful.
